Biography
헥토르 게라는 지뢰금지국제운동-집속탄금지연합(International Campaign to Ban Landmines and Cluster Munitions Coalition, ICBL-CMC)의 대표이다. 국제관계 전문가이자 정책 및 애드보커시 실무자로서 그는 지난 20여년간 인도주의적 군축을 위한 민간 운동에 참여해왔다. 이 기간 동안 그는 소형무기 및 경화기, 핵군축, 인구 밀집지역에서의 폭발물 무기 사용, 무장 드론 등에 관한 다자간 프로세스와 국제적 논의에 참여해왔다. 또한 그는 시민사회와 정부간 부문의 인권 분야에 몸담아왔다.
Hector Guerra is the director of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines and Cluster
Munitions Coalition (ICBL-CMC). A specialist in international relations, and a policy and advocacy
practitioner, he has been part of the civil society movement for humanitarian disarmament, for
nearly 20 years. During this time, as a member of different campaigns, he has taken part in
multilateral processes and international discussions on small arms and light weapons, nuclear
disarmament, the use of explosive weapons in populated areas, and armed drones, among other
issues. Additionally, he has worked in the field of human rights, both in the civil society and in the
intergovernmental sectors.
