Biography
Faridah is a policy researcher and human rights advocate. She is currently working as a professor, teaching law and international development courses at Centennial College in Canada. She is also pursuing a PhD in Immigration Settlement and Diaspora Stream, specializing in law and policy within the Policy Studies program at Toronto Metropolitan University, formerly Ryerson University. She is currently working on establishing a community of practice on Africa Borderlands. She has previously worked as a Policy and Human Rights Consultant with the UNDP, Headquarters in New York. Faridah holds a Master of Laws from Toronto University, a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University, New York, USA, a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University, Kampala, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education from Centennial College. Faridah is interested in academic research, particularly the intersection between law, policy and practical application of interventions intended to address inequalities across the board. Faridah is an experienced public speaker and educator.
