Biography
William Hennigan covers national security issues for TIME magazine in Washington, DC. He has reported from more than two dozen countries across five continents, covering war, counterterrorism, and the lives of U.S. service members. Before joining TIME in 2017, Mr. Hennigan worked for more than eight years at the Los Angeles Times, where he covered the Pentagon and the defense industry. His work has been recognized with citations and awards, including from the National Press Club, the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation, and the Pulitzer Prizes for contributions to the Los Angeles Times’ coverage of the San Bernardino terror attacks in 2015. Mr. Hennigan has degrees from Northern Illinois University and Arizona State University.
