Biography
이시이 유리카는 현재 일본 방위대학교의 준교수로 재직 중이며, 해양법 및 공공 국제법 관련 강의를 담당하고 있다. 유리카 교수는 공공 국제법, 해양법, 국제 및 초국경 범죄 법에 전문성을 갖고 있으며, 도쿄 법학정책대학원에서 경제범죄에 대한 국제규제에 관한 논문으로 박사학위를 받았다. 유리카 교수는 2012년부터 UNODA 글로벌해양범죄프로그램의 선임 컨설턴트로서 활동 중이며, IMO 국제해양법연구소를 포함한 다양한 기관에서 강의를 한 바 있다.
Yurika Ishii is an Associate Professor at the National Defense Academy of Japan, where she is in charge of law of the sea and public international law courses. Her areas of interest include general public international law, the law of the sea and international/transnational criminal law. She achieved Ph.D from the University of Tokyo, Graduate Schools for Laws and Politics with a thesis on international regulation of economic crimes, which was published as International Regulation of Transnational Crimes (Yuhikaku, 2017) (Japanese; Awarded the 51st Adachi Mineichiro Award). Her latest work includes Japanese Maritime Security and Law of the Sea (Brill, 2022). She has served as a senior consultant of United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Global Maritime Crimes Programme since 2021. She has also given lectures in numerous institutions including The IMO International Maritime Law Institute.
