Biography
한국 현대사 및 재일 한국인 문제의 전문가이자 교육자이다. 1994년 리쯔메이칸대학 국제관계학부 조교수가 된 후 1998년 동 교수가 되고, 2013년도-2015년도에는 동 학부 학부장(리쯔메이칸대학 상임이사)을 지냈다. 단독 저서로 “신 한국현대사”, ”재일 조선인 문제의 기원” 등을 서술하였고 기타 다수의 논문을 썼다.
He is an expert and educator on contemporary Korean history and Zainichi Koreans. After becoming an assistant professor in the Faculty of International Relations at Ritsumeikan University in 1994, he became a professor in 1998, and served as the dean of the faculty (standing director of Ritsumeikan University) from 2013-2015. As an individual author, he has authored numerous papers, such as “New Modern History of Korea” and “The Origin of the Problem of Zainichi Koreans”.
