Biography
Min MooSuk majored in English literature at Ewha Womans University and obtained a master’s degree in sociology of education from Seoul National University and a PhD in sociology of education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Min served as a senior research fellow at the Korean Women’s Development Institute, the director for women’s human resources planning at the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, and the secretary to the President for women and family affairs. She also served as the 7th president of the Korean Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education. She has participated as a member of the gender equality committee of the Ministry of National Defense, and the Korean national police commission. In May 2020, Dr. Min joined the Jeju Women and Family Research Institute as the third President and has been making every effort to realize gender equality in Jeju society.
