Takgon Lee is an associate legal officer working at UNHCR Korea. Before joining UNHCR, he worked as a public interest lawyer focusing on the rights of refugees and migrants. He has actively participated in legal advocacy and policy reform for the non-discrimination of migrants and refugees, universal birth registration, rights of migrant/refugee children, and protection of vulnerable asylum seekers, among others. He also serves as the secretary of the Refugees and Migrants Special Committee of the Korean Bar Association. Takgon received a Juris Doctor in Korea in 2013, was admitted into the Korea Bar Association in 2013, and the California Bar Association in 2015.
