Biography
Dr. Kyungyon Moon has been an Assistant Professor at the School of International Studies at Jeonbuk National University, South Korea since March 2016. Before joining Jeonbuk National University, he was a Research Fellow at the Research Institute for North Korea Development, the Export-Import Bank of Korea from May 2014 to February 2016, and a Research Professor at the Graduate School of International Studies at Korea University from March 2013 to April 2014. He has been the Editor-in-Chief of the Editorial Committee of the Korea Association of International Development and Cooperation (KAIDEC) since June 2019. Before he served as the Chair of the International Cooperation Committee of KAIDEC and now also serving as Policy Advisor for the NGO Council for Cooperation with North Korea since 2013. Dr. Moon has a master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies, from the University of Oslo, Norway, and a doctoral degree in Security and Management, from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom. His research interests include Korea’s international cooperation policy, aid architecture, and assistance to North Korea.
