Biography
황수영 박사는 현재 유엔 환경 프로그램(UN Environment Programme)에서 법무관으로 활동 중이며 환경 법치주의 및 환경권의 증진과 이행을 전문으로 다루고 있다. 유엔 환경 프로그램(UNEP) 재직 전, 유엔 인권최고대표사무소(OHCHR) 인권담당관으로 경제, 사회, 환경 이슈를 중심으로 활동하였다. 황 박사는 국제관계 정치학 분야 박사학위를 보유하고 있으며, 주요 연구분야는 국가별 국제법 및 국제규범 준수이다.
Dr. Soo-Young Hwang is a legal officer with UN Environment Programme where she works on the advancement and implementation of environmental rule of law and environmental rights. Prior to joining UNEP, she worked with the UN Office of the High Commissioner for human rights working on economic, social and environment issues. She holds a Ph.D. in international relations, specializing in States’ compliance with international law and norms.
