Mr. Ji Hong Hyun, born in Jeju in 1981, is a committee member of the 12th provincial council of the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. Hyeon used to serve as an administrative officer at the Presidential Office (Cheongwadae) of the Republic of Korea under President Moon Jae-in and worked in the area of conflict management for national projects. During his term as an officer, he played an active role and had remarkable achievements in resolving conflicts around the Gangjeong Village Community Center due to the establishment of the Gangjeong Naval Base in Jeju. This triggered his interest in conflict issues and made him continue his career as a politician by promoting the importance of conflict management through politics. That has led him to become a member of the 12th Health, Welfare, and Society for the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province while he still focuses on social conflict issues.
