이영준은 제주한라대학교 교수이다. 그의 연구는 빅 데이터, 기계 학습 및 NLP와 같은 최첨단 기술을 경제 및 금융 연구에 채택하고 적용하는 데 중점을 두고있다. 박사 학위를 받기 이전에 이영준 교수는 현대증권에서 퀀트 애널리스트로 8년 이상 근무하는 것을 포함하여 10년 이상 금융 서비스 업계에서 근무했다. 금융 산업에서 그의 금융 전문가로서의 배경은 자산 관리에 대한 이해, 정량적 투자 전략, 학계에서 업계가 필요로 하는 것, 금융 서비스 산업에서 정보 기술의 상업적 적용에 대한 이해와 같은 것들을 포함한다. 이러한 경험은 여러 면에서 그의 학문적 연구에 가치를 더하고 있다.
Young Joon Lee is a professor at Cheju Halla University. His research focuses on adopting and applying state-of-the-art technologies, such as Big Data, Machine Learning, and NLP, to economics and finance research. Prior to his Ph.D. career, Young Joon worked in the financial services industry for more than ten years including over eight years of working at Hyundai Securities as a quantitative analyst. His professional background in the financial services industry adds distinct value to his academic research in several ways: understanding of asset management, quantitative investment strategies, what the industry needs from the academic world, and commercial application of information technologies in the financial services industry.
