Biography
Youngah Kim, a co-founder and executive director of Migration to Asia Peace(MAP), has over nine years of experience working with refugees in direct service, supervisory, and management positions. Under her leadership, MAP has focused on refugees’ access to information, access to healthcare, child protection, and refugee participation in refugee response. As a self-claimed post-Refugee Act generation activist, Youngah has passionately applied a community-based approach throughout her career and initiated a project <Human Library with Refugees> that creates encounters and meaningful dialogues between refugees and locals. She currently participates in workgroups of the Korea Refugee Rights Network to advocate refugee rights and refugee child rights. Additionally she serves as the CSO expert in the Korea-EU CSO network.
