Biography
유엔난민기구 한국대표부 이새길 공보지원담당관은 난민에 대한 대중들의 인식을 제고하는 업무를 담당하고 있다. 주요 난민 이슈가 시의적절하게 대중들에게 전달될 수 있도록 언론과 소통하고, 소셜 미디어 활동을 통해 난민들의 이야기를 더욱 친근하게 전달하기 위해 힘쓰고 있다. 또한, 난민 관련 다큐멘터리 영화 제작하고, 세계 난민의 날 행사와 같이 유엔난민기구 주요 이벤트를 기획해 난민들의 진실된 이야기를 알리려 노력하고 있다.
Lee Saegil, Communications Associate of UNHCR Representation in the Republic of Korea, works to raise public awareness of refugee issues. His duties include communicating with the media to ensure timely coverage of significant refugee issues, managing social media channels to deliver the stories of refugees to the public in a soft manner, producing documentary films about refugees, planning public events on meaningful days, such as World Refugee Day, and more.
