Biography
Hyunji Kim is an activist of Korean civil society, who has been dedicated to animal rights for about 10 years. She is one of the 'human animals' who want to make the world better for 'non-human animals.'
KARA(Korea Animal Rights Advocates) is the organization, to which she belongs, consistently opening new horizons for the animal rights movement in Korea where the situation of animals is too bad.
She has been playing an active role in campaigns for legislation and policy and continuing her efforts to improve laws for animals, involved in a variety of issues on companion animals, feral cats, farmed animals, wild animals in captivity, animal testing, and dog meat industry.
As the general manager of KARA, she is managing 'The Bom' center, KARA's animal shelter in Paju, doing a campaign for improving animal welfare in the village."
