Biography
Wooyeal PAIK is an associate professor at the Department of Political Science and International Studies, deputy director, at Yonsei Institute of North Korean Studies, and head of the BK “Interdisciplinary Political Science Lab” Program, at Yonsei University. Previously, he was vice director at Sungkyun Institute of China Studies, Sungkyunkwan University. Prof. PAIK received a B.A. in political science from Yonsei University, an M.Phil. in public and social administration from City University of Hong Kong, and an M.A. and a Ph.D. in political science from the University of California at Los Angeles. His recent research focuses on the interactions between domestic politics and international politics from global strategic perspectives. He also tries to create a new field, the politics of things. His recent publications appear in The China Quarterly, Political Science Quarterly, International Political Science Review, International Environmental Agreements, Modern China, Journal of Contemporary China, The Pacific Review, The Pacific Affairs, Asia Europe Journal, The Pacific Focus, Issues and Studies, Korean Political Science Review, Korean Journal of International Studies, and multiple policy-oriented journals|edited volumes.
