Biography
Prof. Dr Si Hong KIM is Jean Monnet professor of the EU Studies Department of the Graduate School of International & Area Studies at the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS), Seoul, Korea. He obtained MA and PhD from Gregorian University, Rome. Currently, he is Dean of the College of European Studies and also Director of the HUFS Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence supported by the European. Prof KIM served as a member of the National Committee on Youth Employment (2015-2017) and also as Dean of Student Affairs and Human Resources Development of the University (2014-2016). He was president of the Korean Society of Contemporary European Studies (KSCES) in 2009. During 2005 and 2007, he served as a member of the Committee on Curricular Development of the Ministry of Education. He has been a visiting professor at the University of Delaware, University of Rome, and Chulalongkorn University. In the year of 2013, Prof Kim was decorated as a Cavaliere, Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
