Yoshiyuki Aoki has been covering stories on the Korean Peninsula since 2002, when he first reported the South Korean Presidential Election. Aoki was based in Seoul from 2006 to 2009. During that tenure, he covered various stories, including the 2007 Presidential Election and the second inter-Korean summit. He also worked as a Sydney correspondent from 2014 to 2017.
