Biography
남상구는 1968년 12월 한국 강원도에서 태어났다. 일본 지바대학대학원에서 패전 후 일본에서 전쟁의 기억이 어떻게 만들어지고 변용되는지에 대해 연구했다. 현재 동북아역사재단에서 연구원으로 근무하고 있다. 야스쿠니신사 문제 등 한일 역사문제의 기원과 전개 과정, 그리고 역사화해를 위한 노력에 관심을 갖고 있다. 관련 저서로는 <아직도 끝나지 않은 식민지 피해-야스쿠니신사 문제->(2020), <역사화해를 위한 한일 대화>(공저, 2020) 등이 있다.
Nam Sang-gu was born in December 1968 in Gangwon-Do, South Korea. At the Graduate School of Chiba University in Japan, he studied how the memories of war were formed and transformed in Japan after their defeat. He is currently working as a researcher at the Northeast Asian History Foundation. His work focuses on the origin and development process of Korea-Japan history and reconciling history, including the Yasukuni Shrine issue. His publications include "The Prevailing Colonial Damage - Yasukuni Shrine Problem" (2020) and "Korea-Japan Dialogue for Historical Reconciliation" (Co-authored, 2020)
