Biography
Jongyoung Nam has been working as an environmental correspondent at the Hankyoreh newspaper since 2001. The most rewarding of his life was the 'Across the Earth Trilogy', which depicts people and animals suffering in the Arctic, the Pacific islands, and the Antarctic due to climate change, and the investigative story that led to the return of 'Jedol', an Indo-Pacific Bottlenose dolphin from Seoul Grand Park, back to wild ocean. He studied animal geography at the University of Bristol, UK, and is interested in human-animal governance and biopolitics. He wrote 'Thanks for All the Fish: the Rewilding Project of Indo-Pacific Bottlenose Dolphin Jedol', 'The Song of the Whale' And 'the Polar Bear Wants to Walk.'
