Biography
정유석은 현재 IBK기업은행경제연구소 북한경제팀에서 연구위원으로 재직중에 있으며 고려대학교에서 북한학 박사를 취득하였다. 주요 경력으로는 한국수출입은행 북한동북아센터 책임연구위원(2018~), 고양시정연구원 남북교류협력 담당관(2016~), 고려대 아세아문제연구소 연구교수(2014~), 민주평통사무처(2012~), 한국농촌경제연구원(2010~)에서 근무하였다. 주요 활동으로 제20대 대통령직 인수위원회 자문위원, 서울특별시 남북교협력위원, 민주평통 상임위원, 대한민국시도지사협의회 남북협력위원, 통일부 정책자문위원, 민화협 정책위원, 통일교육위원, 개성공업지구지원재단 자문위원 등으로 활동하고 있다. 주요 연구 분야는 남북경협, 경제특구, 지자체 남북교류, 접경지역 등이며, 이와 관련한 다양한 연구논문과 단행본을 출판하여 왔다.
Yoosuk Jung, Ph.D. from Korea University, Research Fellow, IBK Industrial Bank of Korea Economic Research Institute. Dr. Jung started his carrier at Korea Rural Economic Institute in 2010. He also served as a public officer at The Peaceful Unification Advisory Council in 2012. In 2014, Dr. Jung was appointed as a research professor of the Center for North Korean Studies, Korea University. He moved to Goyang Municipal Research Institute as an inter-Korean exchange and cooperation officer in 2017. After serving a research fellow position at the Northeast Asian Center of the Export-Import Bank of Korea from 2018, Currently, he is a research fellow at the North Korean Economic Team at the Economic Research Institute of IBK Industrial Bank of Korea. In addition, now he also serves as a policy advisor at Inter-Korean Relations Cooperation Committee-Seoul City, and The Peaceful Unification Advisory Council, Ministry of Unification, Korean Council for Reconciliation and Cooperation and Unification Education Committee. He majored in North Korean economy and inter-Korean economic cooperation.
