Biography
Stefanos Kollias 교수는 1997년부터 아테네국립공과대학의 전기 및 컴퓨터공학 교수로 재직하였고, 2016-19년에는 영국 링컨대학 컴퓨터과학 대학의 기계학습 교수로 재직하였다. 그는 2019년부터 그리스 국가연구 및 기술기반 시설의 의장으로 재직하면서 그리스 디지털 거버넌스 정부에서 행정의 디지털 혁신을 지원하였다. 그는 또한 2007-2016년에 유럽 신경망 학회 집행 위원회 위원, 2007-2016년 디지털화 및 디지털 보존에 관한 회원국 전문가 그룹의 회원, 2019년부터 문화유산에 관한 유럽연합 집행위원회 전문가 그룹(AI 담당) 회원으로 활동하였다. 그의 연구는 기계 및 딥 러닝 및 인공 지능, 멀티미디어 분석, 검색, 검색 및 인식, 비전, 의료, 문화 유산, 인간 컴퓨터 상호 작용, 농식품, 산업 모니터링 및 이상 예측 등의 응용을 다루고 있으며, 110개의 저널과 310개의 컨퍼런스 논문을 발표하였다. 그의 논문들은 구글스콜라에 의하면 12,500회(h-index 54) 이상 인용되었으며, 45명의 박사학위를 지도하였고, 100개 이상의 EU 프로젝트를 수행하면서 20 Meuro 이상의 연구자금을 지원받았다.
Stefanos Kollias, FIEEE, FHEA, has been Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens, since 1997. He has been Professor of Machine Learning in the School of Computer Science of the University of Lincoln, UK, 2016-19. He has been Chairman of the Greek National Infrastructures for Research and Technology, since 2019, assisting the Hellenic Ministry of Digital Governance in the digital transformation of public administration. He has also been member of the Executive Committee of the European Neural Network Society, 2007-2016; member of the Member States Expert Group on Digitization and Digital Preservation, 2007-2016; member of the European Commission Expert Group on Cultural Heritage (responsible for AI), since 2019. His research covers machine & deep learning and artificial intelligence, multimedia analysis, search, retrieval and recognition, and their application in vision, healthcare, cultural heritage, human computer interaction, agri-food, industrial monitoring and anomaly prediction. He has published 110 journal and 310 conference papers. His work has been highly cited (12,500 citations; h-index 54 in Google scholar). He has supervised 45 Ph.D. students. He has led his Group participation in more than 100 European research projects, with funding of more than 20 Meuro.
