Biography
박종흥 박사는 ETRI(Electronics and Telecommunication Research Institute)에서 ICT 분야 연구개발을 수행하였으며, 연구개발 결과를 기업에 전수하는 기술사업화 담당 본부장을 역임하였다. 본부장 재직 중에 특허실시, 기술이전과 기술창업으로 우리나라 기업들의 역량을 강화하는 등 정보통신산업 발전에 기여하였다. 현재 ETRI 연구위원으로 글로벌 기술사업화 활동을 지원하고 있으며, 연구개발과 기술사업화 경험을 바탕으로 KAIST에서 개도국 등 신흥국 학생들을 대상으로 “기술사업화를 통해 선진국으로 도약하는 Catch Up Strategy & Process”를 강의하고 있다.
Dr. Jong Heung Park had developed various kind of Information and Communication Technologies in ETRI(Electronics and Telecommunication Research Institute) and played an important role as an ETRI vice president to support ICT industry by transferring R&D results to Korean companies. His activities focused on the technology commercialization such as patent licensing, technology transfer and incubating start-ups. Currently, he supports the global technology commercialization as a ETRI Research Fellow and teaches “Catch-up strategy and process by technology commercialization to be an advanced country” at KAIST to the graduate students who are from developing countries and LDCs.
