Biography
Han Xian-dong is a professor of political science and the director of the Center for the Korean Peninsula Studies, at China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL). He graduated from Renmin University of China and received his PH.D. in the School of North Korean Studies, at Kyungnam University, Republic of Korea. His research interests include North Korea and the Korean Peninsular issue, East Asian Politics, and regional international relations. He is the author of books including '"The Security Structure of the Korean Peninsula," "The Transition of the International System: China and East Asia," "The Unification of the Divided Nation-States: Theory and Practice", and "The Construction of the Order of East Asia: Consultation and Cooperation." His representative articles include “Can we see the future from the history?: China, South Korea, Japan and Regional Cooperation,” “The East Asian International System in Transition: Historical Evolution and Structural Change,” “The Development of DPRK-U.S. Relationship: Retrospect and Thoughts,” “Capacity Building and North Korea: The Chinese Experience,” “Toward Peace Treaty from Armistice Agreement: Perspective of China,” “Rethinking China-ROK Strategic Cooperative Partnership Relation: How to Substantialize it,” etc.
