Biography
오코노기 마사오는 게이오 대학교의 명예교수이다. 그는 2005년부터 2007년까지 법학부장을, 1995년부터 1999년까지 게이오 대학교 지역연구센터 소장을 역임하였다. 그는 1986년에 게이오대학교에서 정치학 박사 학위를 취득했고 1972년부터 1974년까지 연세대에서 유학하였다. 1981년부터 1982년에는 하와이대학교 및 조지워싱턴대학교에서 풀브라이트 장학생(Fulbright Scholar)으로 수학한 바 있다. 그는 <한반도 분단의 기원(2018)>, <한반도 위기(2006)>, <전후 한일관계의 전개(2005)>, <시장•국가•국제체제(2001)>, <김정일 시대의 북한(1999)>, <탈냉전기의 한반도(1994)>, <한국전쟁(1986)>을 비롯한 여러 저서•편저•논문을 집필하였다.
Masao Okonogi is Professor Emeritus of Keio University. He was Dean of Faculty of Law and Politics (2005-07) and Director of the Center for Area Studies (1995-99) of Keio University. He received his Ph.D. (1986) in political science from Keio University. He studied at Yonsei University from 1972-74. From 1981-82, he was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Hawaii and George Washington University. He has wrote and edited numerous works, including Origins of the Korean Division (2018), Crisis on the Korean Peninsula (2006), Postwar Development of Japan-Korea Relations (2005), Market, State, and International Regime (2001), North Korea During Kim Jeong Il Era (1999), The Korean Peninsula During the Post-Cold War Era (1994), and Korean War (1986).
