The Honourable Yuen Pau Woo is an independent senator in the Canadian Parliament representing British Columbia. He was the leader of the Independent Senators Group from 2017-2021 and is the Co-Chair of the Joint Standing Committee on the Scrutiny of Regulations. He is also a member of the Senate Standing Committees on Foreign Affairs and International Trade, and Banking, Trade and Commerce. Mr Woo is on the board of the Ditchley Canada Foundation and a member of the Trilateral Commission. Prior to his appointment as a senator, he was President and CEO of the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada a member of the International Steering Committee of the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC), and the founding chair of PECC’s State of the Region Report.
