유엔 파우 우 의원은 브리티시 컬럼비아 주를 대표하는 무소속 상원의원이다. 우 의원은 2017년부터 2021년까지 상원내 무소속상원의원그룹(ISG)의 대표를 맡았고, 현재는 규제검토공동상임위원회의 공동의장이다. 또한 우 의원은 상원 외교통상상임위원회 및 은행무역상업 상임위원회 위원이다. 우 의원은 디츨리 캐나다 재단(Ditchley Canada foundation) 이사이자, 삼극위원회(Trilateral Commission) 회원이다. 상원의원으로 임명되기 전, 우 의원은 캐나다 아태재단 이사장, 태평양 경제협력회의(PECC) 국제운영위원회 위원, PECC 아태지역 연례 현황보고서 창립의장을 역임했다.

The Honourable Yuen Pau Woo is an independent senator in the Canadian Parliament representing British Columbia. He was the leader of the Independent Senators Group from 2017-2021 and is the Co-Chair of the Joint Standing Committee on the Scrutiny of Regulations. He is also a member of Senate Standing Committees on Foreign Affairs and International Trade, and Banking, Trade and Commerce. Mr Woo is on the board of Ditchley Canada Foundation and a member of the Trilateral Commission. Prior to his appointment as a senator, he was President and CEO of the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada a member of the International Steering Committee of the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC), and the founding chair of PECC’s State of the Region Report.
