Biography
Dagmar Schmidt Tartagli is the Ambassador of Switzerland to the Republic of Korea with residence in Seoul since December 2021. She received a Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. She entered the Swiss diplomatic service in 1997. During her career, she was also posted in Paris, Berne, Rome, Rabat, and Dakar. From 2007 to 2010 she was Deputy Head of the International Law Section in the Directorate of Public International Law in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Berne. In 2014, she became Swiss Ambassador to Senegal, Cabo Verde, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, and Mauritania, residing in Dakar. In the four years before her transfer to Seoul, she served as Deputy Head of Mission in Rome. She is married and has a son.
