Katharina Pötter has been Mayor of Osnabrück since November 1, 2021. Two years prior to assuming office as Mayor, she was elected city councilor for the newly formed board Department of Social Affairs and Citizen Service. From March 2020, she also headed the Corona crisis team of the city of Osnabrück. Further cornerstones of her professional career were the Lower Saxony State School Authority, the Lower Saxony Ministry of Education, and the Lower Saxony Ministry of the Interior, Sport, and Integration.
