Biography
사카타 나츠코 한중일협력사무국 사무차장은 도쿄대학교 법학부 졸업 후 뉴욕대학교 법학석사를 취득하였으며 하버드대학교 웨더헤드 국제관계연구센터에서 미일관계 프로그램을 이수하였다. 1995년 일본 외무성에 입성해 아시아태평양국에서 근무를 시작한 뒤 주말레이시아 일본대사관, 주미국 일본대사관, 주대한민국 일본대사관에서 참사관을 지낸 경력이 있으며 주OECD 일본정부 대표부, 내각관방 등에서 요직을 역임하였다. 2021년 9월 한중일3국협력사무국 사무차장으로 부임하였다.
Deputy Secretary-General SAKATA Natsuko graduated from the University of Tokyo (Law) and earned LL.M from New York University School of Law. Lately she completed the Weatherhead Centre Program on US-Japan Relations at Harvard University. She entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of Japan in 1995, and began her diplomatic career in Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau. Since 2011, she served as Counsellor in Embassies of Japan in Malaysia, United States and the Republic of Korea, as well as the Permanent Delegation of Japan to the OECD and the Cabinet Secretariat. She assumed the position of Deputy Secretary-General of the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat in September 2021.
