Biography
Yang In-ja, born on May 14th, 1963 in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, graduated from Jeju Halla University and Korea National Open University. After that time she joined the Korea Saemaul Undong Center in 1984. Before becoming the Secretary General of the center, she held a series of important posts like the head of the Saemaul Women's Association. Having sensed the seriousness of the climate crisis, she has carried on the campaign of planting two million trees for carbon neutrality with the 15 rules formulated for carbon savings, including 'Bringing your cup’. She has also led the campaign for reinforcing mutual cooperation in local communities.
