Kwak Busung was born on June 21, 1969 in Busan, Korea. After graduating from Yonsei University(Public Administration) and Seoul National University's Graduate School of Environmental Studies (Master of Urban Planning), he worked as an overseas investment expert (especially Vietnam investment) in many domestic financial institutions. Since 2016, he has been concentrating on the Saemaul globalization project at the Saemaul Foundation Vietnam office. Based on long experience in Vietnam's economic and regional development fields, he established a localized Saemaul globalization project execution system suitable for Vietnamese agriculture and rural development and achieved many achievements. Also, he maintains a nice governance relationship with the Vietnamese central government(Ministry of Agriculture) and 8 local governments, hold a number of international forums in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh National University and Thai Nguyen National University, and participates in the publication of research articles and books related to Saemaul, contributing to spreading the Saemaul Undong to the world.
