Biography
유원선 대리는 한국의 유일한 전업 재(再)보험사인 코리안리재보험에서 배상책임 쪽 언더라이팅 업무를 담당하고 있다. 코리안리 입사 전에는 국회 외교통일위원회 소속 의원실에서 비서관으로 근무하였고, Campus Asia 프로그램의 일원으로 서울대학교 국제대학원 및 동경대학교 공공정책대학원에서 국제학(국제통상 전공) 및 공공정책학 석사학위를 취득하였다. 학부 때는 미국 펜실베니아 州 소재의 Lehigh 대학교에서 경제학 및 국제학을 전공하였고, 이 외 아시아개발은행연구소, 대외경제정책연구원 및 컨설팅 회사 등에서 근무경험이 있다. 현재는 서강대학교 법학부 박사과정에서 보험법을 전공으로 연구하고 있다.
Campus Asia 프로그램을 통하여 중국과 일본의 정치·경제에 대해 공부하고, 활발한 인적 교류를 통해 문화를 체험하고 사회를 이해할 기회를 가졌다. 세나라 정부에서 적극적인 교육 협력 사업의 수혜자로서, 한중일 삼국 간의 지속성있고 상호생산적인 관계에 기여하는데 지대한 관심을 가지고 있다.
Wonsun is currently working as liability insurance underwriter at Korean Re, one of Asia’s leading reinsurance companies. Before joining Korean Re, Wonsun served as a political aide to a committee member at Foreign Affairs and Reunification Committee at the National Assembly. He is also a part-time student, currently pursuing his Ph.D in Law at Sogang University.
Wonsun graduated from Lehigh University, magna cum laude, majoring in Economics and Global Studies, and entered Seoul National University, Graduate School of International Studies. Through Campus Asia Program, he received M.A. in International Studies and MPP from Seoul National University, and the University of Tokyo, respectively. He has also spent one semester at Peking University, and interned at Korea Institute for International Economic Policy(KIEP), Asian Development Bank Institute(ADBI) and GR Japan as part of the program.
He is proud to call himself a global citizen having lived in five countries and speaking five languages, and is particularly enthusiastic about CJK cooperation. He has been active in Campus Asia related programs hosted by TCS, and is looking to contribute more towards the trilateral cooperation.
