LU RUI, who has been working in media and journalism for ten years, is now acting chief correspondent at the Seoul bureau for Xinhua News Agency, China’s state-run news service. Before coming to Seoul in October 2017, he used to be a correspondent in Pyongyang for three years. He now writes stories mainly focused on inter-Korean relations, relations between South Korea and China, and security concerns facing Northeast Asia. An advocate for trilateral cooperation, he endeavors to eliminate misconceptions and promote mutual understanding between peoples, in particular, the young generations from China, South Korea, and Japan through media coverage.
