Ryosuke SAWAYAMA is a program officer at the Socio-Cultural Affairs Department of the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat. He is primarily in charge of education and personnel-related mechanisms, which include the CAMPUS Asia Alumni Network, and the Young Ambassador Program, TCS’ flagship annual youth exchange program. He strongly believes in the potential of creating lasting ties between the youth of the three countries, a conviction which grew out of his own experiences of studying abroad in Shanghai, Beijing, and Seoul, encountering firsthand the cultures of the countries to which he is committed to bringing closer together. Ryosuke holds a master’s degree in international economics and strategic studies from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
