Biography
Seongkwon Choi started working in the “Design Strategy and Management Planning” Department at the LG Industrial Systems Design Institute in 1996, and is currently teaching digital design and 3D fabrication at the Department of Industrial Design at Hongik University and Ewha Womans University. In particular, he is focused on studying elements of the 4th industrial revolution and eco-production systems, such as 3D printing, additive manufacturing (AM), Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM), and additive manufacturing and sustainable design methods, in order to foster future technologies and develop talented industry leaders. In 2014, he served as an expert in the establishment of a national “3D printing strategy technology roadmap” by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning, and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and gave about 300 domestic and international lectures as an expert in the field of industrial 3D printing. For this achievement, he received a commendation from the President of the Information and Communication Industry Promotion Agency at the 2016 “3D Printing Industry Development Awards”. He has also authored a total of 9 books, including "Guide to Rapid Prototyping (RP) Utilization for Industrial Designers".
