Biography
Dr. Jinyoung Lee is an Assistant Professor in the School of International Studies, at Jeonbuk National University, where she has worked since March 2021. Dr. Lee was trained as a political scientist, specializing in the study of Southeast Asia. From 2014 to 2015 she was a visiting researcher at the National University of Singapore’s Asia Research Institute (ARI). Dr. Lee’s research focuses on ASEAN, with work on member state expansion, regional development gaps, and International Development Cooperation. She has published a number of academic papers in both English and Korean, including the recent article, “HDP Nexus Application in Conflict and Natural Disaster Situations (International Development and Cooperation Review, 2021)”, and “Evaluating Participation: Empirical Analysis of Recipient and Beneficiary Engagement with IFAD International Development Projects (Sustainability 2020).”
