Alec Chung received his Ph.D. from the Department of Political Science at the University of Florida. He is currently working as a Research Director at the Jeju Peace Institute. His research interests include peace and conflict in East Asia, the political economy of East Asia, China-Japan-ROK relations, and the connection between public opinion and foreign policy in East Asia countries. He is the author of the articles “Effects of Trade Relations on South Korean Views of China,” “Effects of International Trade on East and Southeast Asians’ Views of China,” and “The Determinants of China-ROK Relations, 1993-2018: An Empirical Analysis Using Event Data.”
