Biography
Dr. Haeyong Lim is a research director at the Jeju Peace Institute (JPI). Before he joined the JPI, he was an instructor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Houston. Then, he worked as a postdoctoral research scholar at the Center for the Study of Economic Liberty and the School of Politics and Global Studies at Arizona State University and later worked as a research fellow at the Korea Institute for National Unification (KINU). He graduated from Seoul National University with BA degrees both in Political Science and Economics, and MA in International Relations. He graduated from the University of Houston with a Ph.D. degree in political science (political economy). His main research interest is in the political economy of transparency, the political economy of peace and conflict, and international politics in East Asia. He published his papers in the Journal of Peace Research and the Korean Journal of International Relations.
