Biography
Jochen Prantl is the director of the Asia-Pacific College of Diplomacy and an associate professor of international relations at the Australian National University. His research focuses on global governance, international security, strategic diplomacy, and collective action. Previously, he held positions in the Department of Politics and International Relations, Nuffield College, University of Oxford, and the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. He also served as Acting Director of Oxford's Centre for International Studies. In 2007, Professor Prantl was the inaugural recipient of the Zvi Meitar/Vice-Chancellor Oxford University Research Prize in the Social Sciences, and in 2008, the University's nominee for the AXA Prize for Innovative Research. Jochen Prantl holds degrees in Political Science (M.A.) from the University of Bonn and International Relations (M.A.; D.Phil.) from the University of Oxford.
