Abe Nobuyasu has been a Japan Atomic Energy Commission Commissioner since April 2014. He served as the Former U.N. Under-Secretary-General for Disarmament Affairs and Director-General for Arms Control and Science Affairs of the Japanese Foreign Ministry. He is also an Ambassador of Japan to the IAEA and other international organizations in Vienna, Saudi Arabia, and Switzerland.
