Choi Ryung majored in residential environment design for the elderly and children. She has established a private institute to develop universal design guidelines for Seoul and Gyeonggi Province and participated in enacting ordinances to implement various efforts to realize and institutionalize UD. Furthermore, she has been making various attempts to change awareness and spread universal design such as participating as a relevant evaluation committee member for the Ministry of the Interior and Safety as well as educating public officials and students. Currently, she is working as the first chief officer of the Seoul Universal Design Center and continues to make efforts to realize UD not only in Seoul but also nationwide as a design for all.
