Gabriel Munuera-Vinals is the Head of the Arabian Peninsula and Iraq Division in the European External Action Service (EEAS). He joined the EU civil and diplomatic service in 1997 and served as the Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to Turkey(2016-19) and the Head of the Political Affairs, Press, and Information Section of the EU Delegation to Egypt (2012-16). He published a number of articles and columns on EU external policies in the Middle East and Asia. He graduated from Valencia University and holds Master’s degrees from Instituto Universitario Ortega y Gasset and Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
