Biography
Ahn Byung-Jin is currently a professor Global Academy for Future Civilizations, Kyung Hee University. He served as director of the Global Academy for Future Civilizations at Kyung Hee University, chief policy officer at the president's office, vice president of Kyung Hee Cyber University, and head of the Future Higher Education Institute. Born in Daegu (1967), he received a bachelor's degree in sociology from Sogang University and a master's degree in politics from Seoul National University. He received his Ph.D. in U.S. politics from the New School for Social Research, founded by John Dewey. He won the Hannah Arendt Award for his dissertation. The majors are the U.S. presidential system and Korean politics, and he also has theoretical and practical interests in the next transitional leadership of the U.S. and South Korea and the new political model (Biocracy) of ecological perspective. He is currently a KBS guest commentator and has appeared in many broadcasts and newspapers, including MBC, SBS, and other U.S. presidential special broadcast panels and interviews with the New York Times. As an NGO for Ecological Civilization, he is participating as the chairman of the Academic Committee of <People for Earth>, headed by former Minister Kang Geum-sil. He served as a regular columnist for The Kyunghyang Shinmun, Hankyoreh Newspaper, Korea Herald, and the Busan Ilbo. Books he wrote include "America Is Not That America" (2021. Medici), and a number of papers.
