Biography
Dr. Kim is a Senior Research Fellow at Northeast Asian History Foundation, Seoul, Korea.
He was born and brought up in Seoul, Korea. His specialty is foreign relations in modern East Asia. He is especially interested in treaties concluded by China, Japan, and Korea between the mid-nineteenth century and the first half of the twentieth century. Dr. Kim was a visiting researcher at the Graduate School of at Tokyo University, and a lecturer at the Graduate School of International Studies at Yonsei University. He received his MA from the University of Tsukuba, Japan, and his Ph.D. from UCLA. He has written articles in Korean, Japanese, and English on East Asian Foreign relations and history.
