Eel-hwan Kim has been working as a professor in the Dept. of Electrical Eng. at Jeju National University for 31 years and is now well-known as an expert with a lot of research and experience on renewable energy in Jeju. He has served as the chairperson of the Jeju Energy Commission, which plays a central role in Jeju energy policy, the director of Jeju Technopark, a specialized public organization for business support, and the dean of the College of Engineering at Jeju National University. He is also a regular member of the IEEE, the KIPE, and the KIEE, and has published many papers related to renewable energy in domestic and foreign journals. Eel-hwan Kim obtained his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Chung-Ang University, Korea, in 1991.
