Dr Kim Taekyun received B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Hanyang University in 1986, 1989, and 1993, respectively. Since 1996, he has worked at KEPCO Research Institute and carried out various research projects including the development of a real-time digital simulator, power system stabilizer, and eco-friendly transmission facility as a supervisor. As the vice president of KEPCO, he has been supervising all of KEPCO RI's R&D projects to achieve carbon neutrality since 2020
