Biography
Ma Xiaohua is an associate professor at Osaka Kyoiku of Education in Japan. She received her master’s degree in art/social sciences and Ph.D. in history from Ochanomizu University. In 2002–04 she was a visiting scholar at Harvard University's Reischauer Institute of Japanese Studies. Her research areas include global history, U.S. foreign policy, and U.S.-East Asia relations, and she has written several papers related to this. In 2000, she was awarded the "Shimizu Hiroshi Book Award".
