Hwajung Kim is an Invited Professor at the Graduate School of International Studies, Ewha Womans University. She serves as Secretary General of Ewha Public Diplomacy and as Director of General Affairs at the Korean Association for Public Diplomacy. Her research interests include cultural politics in international relations, soft power, and public/cultural diplomacy. She has published on diplomacy, such as “A New Approach to Sports Public Diplomacy through National Role Conceptions in Governance Networks: A Case Study of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics”(2020), “Bridging the Theoretical Gap between Public Diplomacy and Cultural Diplomacy”(2017), and “UNESCO Diplomacy of Five Countries Seen through a Network Cultural Governance Model” (co-authorship, 2021).
