Junhee Hong is a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Gachon University. He has worked in Korea for over 20 years as an expert in energy technologies such as smart grid, electric vehicles, energy storage, solar power, digital power, etc, and as an energy policy expert on green growth, energy decarbonization, and electrification. He is also proposing the mass-energy system as a new energy system that expands the carrying capacity for civilizations and cities. He is also the founder of Gachon Energy Research Institute(GERI), where he researches digital current technology-based power grid system design and related technologies in Korea. He gives creative insights on various policy committees and forums. Junhee Hong received his bachelor's degree from Seoul National University and his doctorate from the same school.
