Lee Jihye, an expert in adult literacy education, earned her M.A. & Ph.D in Lifelong Education from Seoul National University. She served as editor-in-chief of the Journal of the Korean Society for Lifelong Education, a board member of NILE, and Chairman of the National Adult Literacy Education Committee. Her research topic is the growth and change of disadvantaged learners. She is currently in charge of the qualitative longitudinal research project on low-income youth.
