Biography
Jaeyeol YEE is a sociologist dedicated to researching the problems and solutions of Korean society, which is clearly distinguished from other countries and times. He argues that the fundamental problem of Korean society is the absence of 'social quality'. He claims that the future of Korea cannot be improved unless raising ‘social quality’ rather than material growth. He is the author of Would you like to live in Korea if you were born again?, Sociology of Economy, and co-authored books, the Coming of Platform Society, Future for Human, Connect Power, Social Values and Social Innovation, Beyond a Suffering Society, Are You Middle Class, Social Economics and Social Values, Asia Connects, The Sewol Asks Us. He has a belief that nurturing the sociological imagination is a shortcut to opening the future of our time. As the director of the Korea Social Science Data Archive, which contributes to sharing social science data, he is trying to increase public awareness of Korean society.
